Why it isn't sold here
Grippferon nasal drops/spray contain a single active, recombinant human interferon alfa-2b (at least 10,000 IU/mL), and are sold over the counter in Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan; no intranasal interferon has ever been FDA-approved, and the only US interferon alfa-2b product, the injectable Intron A for cancer and hepatitis indications, was discontinued by sole supplier Merck and is no longer marketed.
Bringing it into the US
The FDA generally does not allow importing unapproved medicines. Personal importation is only a limited enforcement discretion — typically up to a 90-day supply for a serious condition with no US treatment, and controlled substances are effectively barred. Do not buy from gray-market pharmacies.
