Why it isn't sold here
An intestinal antiseptic/antibacterial for infectious diarrhea (also sold as Bacterol/Antinal elsewhere), but nifuroxazide is not FDA-approved and is unavailable in the US. Americans manage acute diarrhea with loperamide/bismuth or, for bacterial cases, prescription antibiotics.
Bringing it into the US
The FDA generally does not allow importing unapproved medicines. Personal importation is only a limited enforcement discretion — typically up to a 90-day supply for a serious condition with no US treatment, and controlled substances are effectively barred. Do not buy from gray-market pharmacies.
